The Vineyard

Our vineyard lies in the heart of the Cotes de Duras wine making region. The region has a long history of wine production and produces pleasant, soft and fruity red wines, crisp white wines predominantly made from sauvignon blanc and an increasing amount of surprisingly refreshing rosé. There is a significant amount of investment in the area and as a result the quality of the wines is increasing every year.

We have 9.4 hectares of vines. One third of this is planted with Sauvignon Blanc, a further third with Merlot and the remaining third split equally between Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

Our major project this year was the creation of our own winery. It was tight but we finally got the winery operational just a few days before our first day's harvest, September 20th. We are really pleased about how the wines are developing.

We're gradually building a calendar of the various activities throughout the year in our vineyard.
